Our Buildings
As you go through the doors of our church you enter the Narthex where a greeter will welcome you to our worship services. There, an Usher will escort you into the Sanctuary to a pew of your choice.
Join us in Fellowship Hall after Worship Service for some refreshments served by the Hospitality Committee and feel free to talk to the members and/or Pastor. You'll find friendly people wanting to make you feel at home.
Fellowship Hall is used for Special Occasions, both Church sponsored and Community sponsored. HUMC sponsors Cub Scout Pack 81, Boy Scout Troop 108 and Venture Crew 222 who also share the facilities. It also serves as an Overflow Shelter for the homeless as well as an emergency shelter during emergencies.
The small office off the Narthex is where you might find Pastor Frank Kowar recording the Good Word Daily Devotional Message.
The Administrative Building is off to the side of the Church. This building houses the Parlor,Choir Room, Custodian's Workroom, Church Office and the Pastor's Office.
 To the left of the Administrative Building is the Educational Building where you will find the Church School Classes hard at work. This is also where the Nursery is located for the very young during Worship Services.
The Hillsdale United Nursery School uses these facilities and in 2006 had 184 Students in attendance. The school Offers half-day morning and afternoon sessions for three and four year olds, with a curriculum designed for the appropriate interests and needs of the children. The school provides a warm and nurturing environment where the children can build self esteem, learn to get along with others, and develop positive academic and social skills necessary for future success.
The Parsonage is adjacent to the Educational building just down the street where the Pastor and his family reside.
