HospitalityCoffee Hour Provides Opportunities
Bob and Josie Doughtery have led the Hospitality Committee and its faithful members for many years of service to the congregation. Seen in the pictures are some of the folks who make it possible each week. They begin their preparations before they arrive at church before worship, making sure adequate supplies are available and shopping as needed. Prior to worship, Bob and Josie usually, or a team from the committee prepare the trays of treats; set-up the service tables and ready the coffee pots.
The Coffee Hour is a time to enjoy light refreshments and connect with each other. It is the hub of the church’s opportunities; the place to express our caring for each other; the time to share about our ministries; the time to visit the Information Center; the time to talk while enjoying a warm cup of tea or coffee or perhaps a cup of tasty punch. And there is always something to go along with that beverage from cake to cookies and all stops sweet along the way. It is here that the social fabric of the church is strengthened. It is here where we can meet and chat about the needs of our church. We are all very grateful for the effort of the Hospitality Committee to create an atmosphere where we can truly demonstrate that we are a caring and sharing congregation.
