FAITH IN SERVICE AWARD - HELEN STALTER
Helen Stalter was honored as the 2009 recipient of the Faith In Service Award.
Ken Ross last year's honoree, remarked on Helen's many areas of service as he presented Helen the award before the congregation.
Pastor Frank Kowar led the congregation in a dedication of a Christian Servant. He had a specially prepared prayer that did not reveal the name of the recipient until Ken made the announcement. The congregation read the prayer in unison filling in Helen's name.
Also present in the picture is the extended Stalter family.
Church Trustee and personal friend Marion Lozier
had comments on Helen's contribution to Hillsdale United Methodist Church.
Helen surrounded by her family in the kitchen where she oversaw many an event at the Hillsdale United Methodist Church. It was kind of her command post for all housekeeping activities around the church, Fellowship Hall, the Education building and the Administrative wing. Seen here is the placque held by Helen and the poem held by Woody (Helen's husband).
