Free Butterfly Release
This is a no cost event, but you must register in advance in order to receive a butterfly envelope. Join us for lunch, face painting, games, a bouncy house and more!
In submitting this form you are authorizing Hillsdale United Methodist Church to use photos and video from this event for publicity. If this is a concern, please email the church office.
+ What will you have there?
We'll have free food (hot dogs, chips, drinks and goodies), live music playing during most of the event, facepainting, balloons, lawn games, we hope to have a bouncy house, story-telling and the butterfly release!
+ Will the butterflies be okay?
Yes! We checked to make sure September wasn't too late for a butterfly release. Unless we get really freezing weather by early October they'll be fine! If they head south for winter, they'll travel 50-100 miles each day!
+ What happens if we have bad weather?
That would be a problem. The butterflies will only fly away if its about 65 degrees or warmer. If we have a cool day we'll do all the other fun stuff but we'll have to reschedule the butterfly release.
+ Is this event really free?
Yup! Hillsdale United Methodist Church is launching a new worship service so we are having this community event. We want to celebrate with everyone (that means you)! We want as many people as we can find to come and have fun with us. Feel free to join us for the new service every Sunday at 11 a.m.
